Cancellations and rebookings

👉 More expensive date: you pay the difference

On cheaper dates: no refund

Gift cards are never refunded in cash.

Extreme conditions (weather and other)

• If we have to cancel a stay due to. storm, strong wind, or extreme weather, you get:

  • New stay at a later date, or

  • Full refund (gift card returned to gift card)

• If a closure is mandated (e.g., due to Covid-19), you will receive a full refund.

House Rules

1. The information binders and loose info sheets in the cabin. Pay special attention to the rules for the composting toilet and fire.

2. The cabin and the surrounding area must be tidy upon checkout:

   • Bed linen is removed and placed on the floor

   • Dishwasher start (min. 30 liters water in tank)

   • Tidy up and put cushions/blankets back

   • Do not move furniture

   • Report if something is broken

3. The water in the sink is drinking water – Bring drinking water yourself.

4. We provide up to 20 liters of water per stay/day. If you need more, you will have to fetch it yourself from the river.

5. Make sure the water pump does not run dry – unplug it if the water runs out.

6. Unusual spills/damage (wine, vomit, etc.) may incur an extra charge of 750 NOK per additional hour of work.

7. Trash is taken and sorted at the parking lot.

8. The grill must be cleaned after use.

9. Shoes are placed in the entryway. Use a rug/shoe rack.

10. Leave the cabin as you would wish to find it – otherwise, a fee may apply.

• Power and gas

• Desks and pillows with bedding

• Pillar candles and tea lights

• Paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, cloths, and some basic groceries

• Wood and kindling (familiarize yourself with the location of the wood before it gets dark)

❌ Not included in the rent

• Extra water beyond 20 liters per day

• Drinking water (can be purchased for NOK 60 per container if available)

• Sauna, towels, activities, and other equipment for rent

• Other goods in the service building (clarified as needed)

⚠️ Important to know

• The cabins comply with Norwegian building regulations, but guests must be careful:

  • Children should always be supervised (veranda, river, attic).

  • The fireplace gets very hot

  • Rugs and floors can become slippery

  • The stairs to the loft should be at an angle when in use
